Review:
I don’t know why I have waited so long to read this. This book brought me back from a reading slump. I truly enjoyed the plot of the book in which Josh proposed to his girlfriend only to have her say no then managed to lose his job and his flat and after finding himself with no other options available went back to live with his parents. After this Josh realized that he might not have always make the best choices. One day he finds a lucky coin and decides that from that day on he will flip the coin to make any decisions.
I loved the writing and how well balanced the story was. There were lots of funny and hilarious moments but also there were so many important dramatic scenes and serious stuff happening which made me think about life and cry. It is amazing how the author made all this happen without the contrasting tones of the different scenes feeling disjointed. All the characters are very interesting and they fit into the story perfectly without anyone feeling unnecessary. I especially loved the main character Josh as he was just so well realised and likable although he was definitely a dreamer which was so sweet.
This book is more than just a romance book, it is about Josh’s personal development and his changing feelings towards certain situations and his relationship with his family and friends. He also finds himself living an adventure that he wasn’t expecting and without looking for it finds more than he could have guessed.
Such a great read.
