Review:

This is a cute children’s book where the main character is Hop, a little girl dog who was adopted by a family of Kangaroos and who unfortunately couldn’t master the Kangaroo bounce.

Hop wanted to fit with the other Joeys and play just like them. One day they decided to have a race and Hop was determinate to win it. She might not be able to bounce but she had other qualities and a great imagination and soon found herself enjoying the race. She didn’t win but she had fun and managed to get to the end of the race by doing things a bit differently but still feeling proud of her achievement.

The illustrations are super cute and colourful. Every single page is filled with colour and I love how the illustrator brought the story to life and how the weather and time of the day were perfectly illustrated with the perfect balance of colours. The book also features different animals which are all unique and perfectly portrayed.

This is a heart-warming book with a great message for children about celebrating the differences in ourselves no matter how big or small they may be. It also encourages children to participate in activities that they might not feel confident in doing. This is a story that can be read to small children as the rhythm is really nice and also the language is perfect for independent readers.

Availability:  The book is available on Amazon as a paperback and kindle edition.

Thank you so much Cherise and Francois for our copy of this amazing book.
